Fish for "brine"

by Kuba Chruszczewski

This imitation of a small fish is a lure often used by sea fly fishermen hunting sea trout. Of course, there is no obstacle to successfully use it also in fresh water to catch trout or perch.

1 I choose a pair of symmetrical feathers - in this case, the dorsal feathers of mallard ducks.

2 I remove some of the rays.

3 I fold the feathers evenly, convex to each other, and glue the stacks where the rays begin.

4 I cut out the ends so that a V-shaped tail is formed.

  5. I tie the tail to the sea hook.

  6. I twist synthetic bristles in a double thread.

7., 8. I wind a kind of blackberry on the hook shank, adding more and darker colors. A good effect is given by an admixture of glossy material of the "angel hair" kind.

  9. Now it remains to comb everything nicely and glue 3D eyes. The fish is ready.

10: This is what it looks like when wet.
