Ghost Hour.

One of my favorite classic streamers bears a rather sinister name - Black Ghost, or black ghost. The fly was developed in the USA in 1927, its author being Herbert „Herb” Welch. The effectiveness and versatility of the „Ghost” allows you to confidently consider it one of the best, and certainly the most popular streamers. Contrastingly colored fly works great in conditions of not the best visibility, on dark days, or in slightly murky water. I like the classic execution most, with wings made of rooster feathers, but equally effective are versions in which the traditional material is replaced by hair, marabou, or synthetic bristles. Be sure to complete your set of streamers with this simple design, it will certainly prove its effectiveness more than once.
To the hook I tie a tail - two feathers from the mane of a golden pheasant, and a silver lamé.
From the black dubbing, I wind up a trunk with the shape of an elongated cone.
I scroll with silver lamé, winding a blackberry of soft yellow feather.
I make the wings from two pairs of white ( or very light cream) cock neck feathers. I add arms made from Jungle Cock feathers.

Materials needed to make Black Ghost: White rooster, yellow hen, topping ( golden pheasant mane), black dubbing, silver lamé, long shank hook.
