               Trout on the Rab always liked streamers with a predominance of yellow. It is difficult to say why exactly this color. Some say that a streamer with a yellow body ( for example, the previously described Dark Edson Tiger) well imitates a sliver, a fish often devoured by trout. How much truth in this - it is difficult to say. In any case, I once developed a fly that was supposed to combine some characteristic elements of a classic streamer, hairline and muddler. All the materials used are kept in tones of yellow. And since I like to fish with large flies, so I made my invention on #4 and even #2, 4xlong hooks. The fly turned out to be effective not only on the Raba River.... I called it Yellow Submarine, or YS for short.

The tail is formed by two grizzly feathers dyed yellow. I fold them like the wings of a streamer. To the hook I attach a gold wire for the wrapper and a gold flat lamé.

I wind the trunk from the lamette, leaving about 1/5 of the shaft free on the head side. I tie a yellow-dyed grizzly feather.

Winding the feather toward the tail, I make a blackberry on the trunk. I tie it with wire.

Now it's time for the wings. I make their base from a bunch of yellow-dyed hair from the tail of an American squirrel. The fur should reach the end of the tail.

From the top, on either side of the bundle of fur I tie one or two pairs of saddle feathers or rooster neck feathers of a similar color to those used for the tail and the hackle.

I make a large muddler-type head out of the yellow-tinted winter deer hair.
